Teresa Weller
Meet Teresa Weller, a passionate Hair Artist with an impressive 35 years in the industry, including 12 as a dedicated salon owner. Hair is her second language, and her recent nomination as a finalist for Southern Hairdresser of the Year at the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards is a testament to her talent and commitment. The final will take place at The Grosvenor House on November 25th—a dream realised after years of hard work.
Specialising in bridal hair, Teresa has built a loyal clientele who travel great distances for her expertise, including a growing number of gents. A true craftsman, she brings a keen eye for dynamic shapes and bespoke cutting techniques, ensuring each restyle is unique. Her flair for colour shines through in her exquisite highlights and balayage work, executed using various techniques that range from colour corrections to complete transformations. Revlon Professional is Teresa’s colour house of choice, although she also draws on her experience with brands like Milkshake, L’Oréal, and Wella, believing that a skilled colourist can master any brand with the right support. With Teresa, clients always feel they’re in safe hands.
Beyond her technical wizardry, Teresa has a genuine love for people. To her, everyone is a celebrity, and she possesses a rare gift for making each client feel like the only person in the room. She dedicates her time to ensuring that every individual leaves looking and feeling their absolute best.
Her journey began at Alan International, where she discovered her passion for the industry and realised her ultimate dream was to own a salon. In her early 20s, Teresa embraced her adventurous spirit by joining Steiner, working on cruise ships and traveling through the Caribbean and America. It was during this time that she had the incredible opportunity to train with Ian Carmichael, personal hairdresser to the Queen. Under his guidance, she honed her skills in formal styling, which laid the foundation for her unique artistry in hair, particularly in bridal updos.
This talent has led Teresa on an extraordinary journey, from stage work and theatre to prestigious events like London and Milan Fashion Weeks. For five years, she served as the lead stylist for Pride in London, working backstage with main acts and coordinating teams of hairdressers across multiple stages. This incredible journey has allowed Teresa to work with numerous celebrities, and she’s often called upon to create stunning event hairstyles for singers, actresses, TV presenters, and personalities. Notably, she joined X Factor singer Rebecca Ferguson on a European tour, creating beautiful updos for her concerts each night—an experience that not only showcased her talent but also satisfied her wanderlust.
Teresa also has a huge passion for photoshoots. In recent years, she has collaborated with renowned industry photographers to produce captivating hair images for her brand, building a portfolio that has graced the pages and covers of prominent industry magazines such as Professional Hair Magazine, Salon Business, HAIR Magazine, Estetica, Salon Evo, Good Salon Guide, Le Journal, and Your Surrey Wedding. Teresa thrives on the excitement of capturing her work on camera, constantly evolving her craft.
In 2018, Teresa opened her Dorking salon, Teresa Weller HairArt, which has attracted a highly skilled and growing team of stylists. As a true team player, she embraces her role as a mentor, sharing her extensive knowledge and expertise to help her team achieve their personal career dreams and thrive together.
In 2022, Teresa expanded her bridal work by launching a separate brand, The Bridal Hair Artists, complete with its own website and social media presence. This innovative approach has led her and her team to create stunning catwalk hairstyles for the National Wedding Show in London, further solidifying her status as a leader in the hair industry.

Meet our beautiful Stef! Recently famous with her unreal makeovers on Tiktok in lockdown, she is currently in her third year at university studying English literature and drama
You will also find Stef on reception Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays whilst juggling her degree
Some might say she’s the Apple of the bosses eye! Can’t think why? Having grown up in salons all her life she is super equipped for this role and runs the salon smoothly with her beautiful smile — she your go to girl for appointments and enquiries.
And Teresa is so proud to keep it in the family and have her beautiful daughter greeting you when arrive for your appointment
Andrea, Senior Stylist

Andrea is a ball of light and smiles in the salon, always happy and ready to create beautiful hair! Her gentle nature and caring attitude is the perfect recipe for a pampering experience.
With 6 years of experience in the industry her blow-dries will have you floating out the salon doors.

Steph, Creative Designer
“I have amassed 15 years of experience as a Hairstylist, a journey that began when I was just 16 years old in my home of Dublin, Ireland.
For a period of four years, I honed my hairstyling skills while working at sea, until destiny led me to England, where I crossed paths with my Fiancé, Matthew. Since then, I've enjoyed seven years of countryside living in the picturesque landscapes of Dorking, Surrey.
I am proud to be part of the esteemed team at Teresa Weller HairArt. Additionally, I am actively engaged in the Fellowship for British Hairdressing Project Colour, demonstrating my commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry.
In recognition of my skills and dedication, I was honored with the Wella award for Stylist of the Year in 2022. Beyond my career, I am a devoted mother to a charming little boy named Harry, who holds my entire world within his smile.”
Bayley, Apprentice
Bayley is our enigmatic apprentice who is flying through his training. His passion and wit make him a star on the salon floor and definitely one to watch.
Bayley makes us laugh every day, he’s so fun to be around and loves his work. Oh and those head massages!
“I love connecting with people and getting to see and help create hair transformations, I really enjoy seeing how happy and confident people become.”
Bayley’s catchphrase “enjoy your hair” is one of our favorite things about working with him.
Irene Moreno
Joined us in February 2024
She is available at the salon three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), Irene perfected her craft in Barcelona where she grew up, and became educator for Joyco before moving to London and joining Tony&Guy
After taking a break to raise her family, Irene is now back working her craft at Teresa Weller HairArt.
Teresa said, “Irene loves being part of our team. Her work is beautiful. Her colour knowledge is so strong, and her cuts and finishes are second to none. We are thrilled to have her as part of the team!”
Juan Lopez Alvarez
Being a massive fan of natural beauty Juan is both skilled in colour and application and has an eye for matching the perfect colour to clients based on their style and personality.
Juan understands personal service and has poured his multi-layered experience into his own educational venture by founding the Seventa Makeup Academy, writing and creating all courses as Director of Education.
Juan started his career in a top Spanish training academy where he quickly grew to supporting the founder before coming to the UK to manage and educate teams from top makeup artist brands.
Juan has been instrumental in the development and business growth of top makeup brands including Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury & Floral Street to name a few both at a managerial level and through the creation and development of training programmes.
Juan is excited to showcase the theatrical side of makeup, combining it with natural beauty and allowing the customer to express their own individuality.
As well as leading the Seventa Makeup Academy Team of artists as Director of Education he is currently Freelancing with new British beauty brand Code 8 Beauty as their Colour Maestro, creating the Colour ID Lab Experience and concept.
With Code 8 Beauty, Juan recently created lipstick colours that graced the runway at London Fashion Week 2019 where Code 8 Beauty was Official Makeup Partner.
Having worked alongside Teresa for many weddings and of course 6 years at Pride in London not to mention a number of celebrities Teresa and Juan have worked together with, Juan is Teresa's go to guy!
