Job Description: Salon Junior
Position: Salon Junior
Reports to: Salon Manager / Senior Stylists
Location: Teresa Weller Hair Art – Dorking
Salary: Minimum wage or Apprentice rate, depending on experience/age
Role Purpose:
To assist the salon team with daily duties and provide excellent service to clients, helping to ensure the smooth running of the salon while learning essential skills in hairdressing and client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients and assist with coats and refreshments
- Shampoo and condition clients’ hair under the guidance of stylists
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-stocked salon environment
- Assist stylists by preparing workstations and equipment
- Support day-to-day tasks such as laundry, sweeping, and sanitising
- Attend training and development sessions as required
- Promote a friendly and professional image at all times
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual and reliable with good personal grooming
