Teresa Weller Hair Art is a multi-award-winning, forward-thinking salon known for exceptional standards, creativity, and passion for beautiful hair. We’re looking for a talented and experienced Hair Stylist to join our busy team in Dorking.

This is a full-time position for a well-rounded stylist who can confidently deliver high-quality services across all departments, from colour and cutting to extensions, men’s hair, and beyond.

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced stylist with 5+ years of post-qualification salon experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working as part of a creative, supportive team. The ideal candidate will bring precision cutting skills, strong colouring knowledge, and the ability to deliver modern, bespoke looks for every client.

You’ll also have opportunities to get involved in training, mentoring, photo shoots, events, client consultations, and supporting the wider salon team in daily operations.

Revlon Professional experience is preferred, but not essential — full brand training can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client experiences across all services including colour, cutting, styling, men’s hair, and extensions
  • Conduct thorough consultations and recommend personalised treatments and aftercare
  • Support and mentor junior stylists and apprentices
  • Maintain salon standards, stock control, and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations
  • Participate in salon promotions, shoots, events, and awards
  • Actively contribute to the salon’s creative output and social media presence
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and client care

About You

  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a professional salon
  • Confident, detail-oriented, and a true team player
  • Strong technical skills in colour, cutting, styling, and extensions
  • Knowledge of men’s hair and current trends
  • Professional, punctual, and passionate about delivering excellence
  • Creative and enthusiastic about ongoing training and growth

Job Description: Salon Junior

Position: Salon Junior
Reports to: Salon Manager / Senior Stylists
Location: Teresa Weller Hair Art – Dorking
Salary: Minimum wage or Apprentice rate, depending on experience/age

Role Purpose:
To assist the salon team with daily duties and provide excellent service to clients, helping to ensure the smooth running of the salon while learning essential skills in hairdressing and client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients and assist with coats and refreshments
  • Shampoo and condition clients’ hair under the guidance of stylists
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-stocked salon environment
  • Assist stylists by preparing workstations and equipment
  • Support day-to-day tasks such as laundry, sweeping, and sanitising
  • Attend training and development sessions as required
  • Promote a friendly and professional image at all times
